Getting that sort of compliment was not a new thing for me, but getting it from Lara had my heart dancing and my body stirring to lustful life. I wandered off to a corner where I could have some privacy, and I stared at the message, relishing it. I imagined how warm her body had felt under me last night, how wonderfully responsive she’d been to my touches and my kisses. She hadn’t seen anything yet. I was ready to show her what I could really do to a woman.

“Hey! Who are you talking to so secretly over here in the corner?” CJ interrupted my daydreams.

“Nothing,” I said, shoving my phone in my pocket at the speed of light. “Just getting out of everyone’s way.”

“We’re going to sign a few more autographs and take a few more pictures, then head out,” she said.

“Yeah, sure, okay.”

“There’s quite a crowd outside! I talked Trish into hanging out with them for a while. She isn’t happy with me, but we don’t have anything else on the books today. Plus, it’s good for publicity.”

“Hey, the fans are what’s made us. We’d be nothing without them.”

“My sentiments exactly! And it’s not that Trish doesn’t like fans. She only worries for our safety.”

“Ah, well, that’s what Zack’s for. We can grab a couple of the station’s crew members for some extra muscle if that’d make her feel better.”

“Yeah. We’ll be fine.”

I waited for her to walk away before pulling my phone out one more time and sending Lara a quick text.
